Introducing YPrintIt for Android!

So after a lot of really hard work we finally got it done. Our totally cutting edge and amazingly useful social networking, contact management, green technology, business cards replacing, QR Code reader-generator, mobile application (wow that took the breath out of me!) is now available for Android!

Yes YPrintIt , the QR Reader and QR business card creator, a very useful application for iPhone users all over the world for the last few months, has now made it to Android world (this is one cool QR Code Android app!)  As many before us, we have seen the rapid growth of the Android platform in the mobile industry. For more and more phone manufacturers it is becoming the OS of choice, and for good reason. It’s easy to use, adaptable, open, fast as heck, and in short, really cool too. We have high hopes for Android and love their open stance on application development.

We are excited to get our great app on to every platform possible. Let’s not forget all the great things this system can do and the value it offers, (not to mention its roots in environmental sustainability- that’s green technology for you!)  It’s amazing what you can do with a smart phone with a built in camera, a QR code, and a killer app! (Yes, all you need is for this handy application is a camera to snap those QR codes, and what mobile phone does not have a camera nowadays? And not even a HD camera, any camera on a mobile phone works. Just snap that QR code and our app will read the information. For those of you who are not familiar with QR codes, check out our site for great info on QR.

But it doesn’t stop at mobile phones either; let’s not forget the Android powered tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tab that has not one but two cameras in it. It can be used as well to scan QR Codes, and that’s just the first of many to come.

Also, one of the main reasons we embraced the Android platform is what we mentioned above, the growing amount of devices each day that embrace this OS as their running platform. Apple iOS is without a doubt one of the most important and most stable platforms there are for mobile communications, but at the same time, is limited to their devices (iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4 and iPod 4) and since we want to bring our application and our desire to help the environment to bigger audiences, Android was a sure bet. But that doesn’t mean we have forgotten about people using BlackBerry devices (especially with the BlackBerry Torch and the BlackBerry Playbook coming out both with cameras) Look for Yprintit for Blackberry very soon.
